Touch the yarn, feel inspired...
Why "Fondle"? Well we all fondle that new yarn; rub it under our chin; smell it; squeeze it; wondering what creation will leap from from the ball onto our needles. I'm not designing patterns to show off my knitting skills. These designs are items that I've made for myself and for friends and are worn regularly. These patterns are for the average knitters who just want to wear what they make. They dont take years - or even months to complete. Each garment was created using yarns found in my stash. Most designs do not take large quantities of yarn and you can use that beautiful treasure you may have bought not knowing what yu were going to make. I dont list brand names that I have used because I want your creation to be your own. based on your taste. Total amounts in meters or yards will tell you more than "5 balls of Fluffy Muffy", when that yarn may be discontinued. I have also decided to do black and white flat photos of each garment when possible instead of a schematic. I feel that it's easier to compare your own work to real knitting than a line drawing.
